Creativity- It’s for Everyone

Creativity is not limited just to children or artists. What do you think of when you think about a highly creative person? If visions of musicians, artists and poets come to mind, this is true but it’s not the full picture.

Creativity is not limited to just those who greatly excel in artistic areas and it’s not limited to the young or children only. Each and every one of us has the ability to be creative. We are born with creativity- it’s for everyone!

The challenge is not to lose your creativity over the years, as you grow older and as stress and daily pressures wear you down. Creativity is still there deep inside of you; the challenge is to bring it to the surface.

Creativity takes all shapes and forms. Here are some examples:

• An internet entrepreneur with companies in many different topics
• The stay at home mother that cares for and entertains her children all day
• The preschool teacher who keeps her children entertained and focused on her lessons
• The high school geography teacher who tries to make math fun
• A local gardener who makes magic out of boring and ordinary lawns
• The mechanic highly skilled at repairing all types of automobiles
• The grandfather who whittles wood in his porch rocker

These are all examples of people who show creativity in their every day lives. Each day that you wake up in the morning, you will be faced with opportunities to be creative. You have to choose if you want to expand and be as creative as you can be or if you want to be held back by preconceived notions that only certain people can be consider creative.

Creativity is a right to everyone and you can harness your own inner creativity and mold it and strengthen it with time and practice. You can learn to become a more creative person and also learn the many ways in which creativity can help you in your daily routine. It could help you at home, at the office or in your free time. It can help you with your peace of mind, help you beat stress and just feel happier as a person.

The first step is to choose to acknowledge your creativity. Know that you are creative and choose to create. It’s your right to do so. It will help you form unique and useful habits that you will keep for the rest of your life.
